Release of Student Financial Information

In accordance with the Federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) (20.U.S.C. 1232g), also known as the Buckley Amendment, and Section 228.093 of the Florida Statutes, the Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA) and University Bursar (UB) are prohibited from releasing information concerning a student’s financial aid status and all financial records without the written consent of the student. Preview is a mandatory orientation administered by the Dean of Students office for all first-year and transfer students that provides students the opportunity to make a smooth transition and become acclimated to the university.  Departments such as Financial Aid, Housing, Gator 1, the University Police Department and University Bursar provide presentations during the two-day session.
