Enterprise replaces Avis as state’s designated car rental agency

The State of Florida has contracted with the parent company of Enterprise Rent-a-Car and National Car rental to provide vehicle rentals to state employees. The contract took effect Sept. 30 and replaces the agreement that had been in place with Avis.

Administrative Memo: Travel to Cuba

Since diplomatic relations are being restored with Cuba with the embassy reopening on July 20, 2015, Florida laws restricting the use of University funds for travel to certain foreign countries will no longer apply to Cuba. However, approval for travel to Cuba must
be sought well in advance and MUST BE APPROVED BY THE DEAN OF YOUR UNIT OR THE PROVOST until further notice.

Complimentary Travel

Following a comprehensive review of the Florida Statutes governing University of Florida travel policies, it has been determined that the statute does not apply to complimentary travel when there is no actual cost or travel reimbursement paid by the University.
