Finance Fridays, an initiative of the Controller’s Office Center for Talent Management and Innovation, is a knowledge development training series designed to develop a thorough understanding of our dynamic campus operations for Finance & Accounting employees.
The series will be delivered monthly by subject matter experts, in collaboration with various campus groups. Up to two (2) people from each department in Finance & Accounting can attend, and will share their knowledge from the series with the rest of the team.
What topics are covered?
Topics are selected to connect with the University of Florida’s mission areas of instruction, research and public service and CFO or Finance & Accounting initiatives, such as diversity, equity and inclusion, process improvement or stakeholder engagement.
Prior and upcoming sessions include:
- March 2021 – Compliance initiatives with speakers Terra DuBois, Chief Compliance, Ethics and Privacy Officer and Sonya Burtner, Assistant Director of University Compliance and Ethics
- April 2021 – Supporting supplier diversity with speaker Dwan Courtney, Director of the Office of Small Business and Vendor Diversity
- May 2021 – IFAS and leadership with speaker Jeanna Mastrodicasa, Associate Vice President for IFAS Operations
