Who must attend?

All new and existing Federal Perkins loan borrowers must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) on-line through our Loan Service Company, Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI), as of Fall 2004.  This signed MPN covers all subsequent Federal Perkins loans made by the school to the borrower until the Perkins MPN expires (up to 10 years).  This note is automatically voided if no disbursements are made within 12 months after signing the note.  Under the University new MPN process, all first time borrowers are required to complete the entrance requirement in addition to signing the note and confirming the loans. Your loan cannot be disbursed until all electronic documents are accurately completed and you have confirmed your award at http://www.isis.ufl.edu.  If you were awarded a Federal Perkins loan from the University of Florida and you are registered full-time, a letter will be mailed from University Financial Services outlining the procedures on completing the loan confirmation and MPN process.

The electronic procedure for Perkins borrowers is as follows:

1. Confirm your Federal Perkins award via http://www.isis.ufl.edu.  Click on “Financial Services” and then "Financial Aid Federal Perkins Loan Disclosure/Confirmation".
2. Click on "Disclosure" to view the total cumulative balance of your University of Florida Perkins loan.  To access the Disclosure, you must enter the following information which will be provided to you in the letter mailed from University Financial Services:
   1. Social Security Number
   2. Password/Pin Number = ECSI Pin
3. After viewing your Disclosure, click "Ready to Confirm" and enter your Gatorlink Username and password.
4. Complete the loan confirmation by accepting, reducing or canceling the award.
5. Read and sign your electronic Federal Perkins Master Promissory Note.  Click on "E-Sign Note."

Who is eligible?

You must be registered full-time or have an award letter from Student Financial Affairs to be eligible for disbursement of a NDL/Federal Perkins Loan.

When must I complete the Entrance Counseling?

Any student awarded a Federal Perkins Loan from the University of Florida and registered full-time will be mailed a letter from University Financial Services. This letter contains instructions and all necessary information to complete the required entrance process.
