Tuition Fee Deferment

A tuition fee deferment allows students to pay tuition fees after the fee payment deadline without being subject to cancellation of registration or the late payment fee.

The University may award fee deferments to students receiving:

  • Veterans educational assistance benefits.
  • Benefits from federal or state assistance programs.
  • Benefits from formal arrangements made with the University for payments by an acceptable third party.

Fee deferments are granted based on information from Student Financial Affairs (financial aid deferments), (352) 392-1275 or the Office of the University Registrar (veterans), (352) 392-1374. If you have questions concerning your eligibility for a fee deferment, check with the appropriate office.

Fee deferments cover tuition fee payments only and must be established by the fee payment deadline of the term in which you want the deferment.

Tuition fees will not be deferred if prior term fees are owed.

A $100.00 Late Payment Fee will be assessed if tuition fees are not paid by the deferred fee payment deadline.

Questions concerning University of Florida housing charges should be addressed to the Department of Housing and Residence Education. Visit their website to learn about housing rent deferments and other information. http://www.housing.ufl.edu/housing/deferments.html
