Paychecks

Overview

All University of Florida employees are paid biweekly.  The work week begins at 12:01 am on Friday and ends at midnight on Thursday.

Employees can view and print their current and previous paychecks in myUFL.  The UF HR Toolkit – View Paycheck & Leave Balances provides navigation and information on accessing and reading your paycheck.

Earnings Codes

Earnings codes specify what type of earning you have on your paycheck.  Regular earnings (such Regular TEAMS) are normally associated with a regular salary or regular hours worked.  There are different earnings codes to track things like vacation, sick leave, jury duty, etc. and because some types of earnings are taxed differently than others.

Deduction Codes

Deduction codes are used to record how deductions are applied to your payroll.  A deduction code can represent any type of deduction, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement, parking, and many more.

Applicable Tax Codes

The tax codes break down the type of tax that is being deducted from your paycheck.
